Cody Mohr - Digital Artist | Glass Artist

Cody Mohr, the modern-day Lorax, uses his work to speak for the trees. Cody grew up in rural Ohio in an 18-acre woods. His work inspires people to explore a world where plants and humans have a symbiotic relationship. Cody’s appreciation for nature has grown into a desire to advocate for the protection of its beauty. He was always drawing as a child, but really started taking art seriously in high school when he started his job at a fused glass studio in 2017 at Copper Moon Studio. He graduated in 2019 and continued on to Bowling Green State University where he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in Digital Arts and Glass graduating in 2023. Cody enjoys the research and collaboration of both the digital and glass realms while also using a collective analysis from the people surrounding him. He studies the ecosystems and the natural flow of cause and effect from one thing to the next. He then tries to apply this to his style like planting a seed and watching it grow. As he develops this idea so does his creation and he continues with that so throughout his entire process everything blooms within itself.

He currently is an assistant at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio and is continuing to grow himself and the community around him. His future goals include continuing the combination of the digital and glass worlds together and on the side becoming an environmental artist/illustrator. Another aspiration of Cody's is to own his own studio where he can mix his love for glass and digital art together!
